Monitor arm for a 32-inch monitor: weight is the question

At 32 inches the VESA is still usually 100 × 100, but weight climbs to roughly 5–10 kg — enough that some 4K and curved 32" panels bump against a standard arm's rating.

Standard or heavy-duty?

A light 32" (5–6 kg) is fine on a standard arm. A heavier 4K or curved 32" (7–10 kg) wants a heavy-duty arm to keep the 1.2× margin so it doesn't droop over months of use. The checker tells you which side of the line your exact model is on.

FAQ

Will a standard monitor arm hold a 32-inch monitor?

A light 32" (around 5-6 kg) yes; a heavier 4K or curved 32" (7-10 kg) is borderline and may sag over time. Check your model's panel weight against the arm's rating with margin.

Are curved 32-inch monitors heavier?

Often slightly, and the curve adds leverage. Treat curved 32" panels as the heavy end of the range and prefer an arm with headroom.
